The consummate piano stylist was a major jazz presence for over four decades and a participant in some of the greatest jazz and swing ensembles, including the Chocolate Dandies, the Benny Goodman trio and quartet and the best of the Billie Holiday recordings.
These recordings are taken from four sessions between 1940 and 1980 in New York and Copenhagen and demonstrate to the full Wilson’s complete mastery of style and substance.
