One of the most underrated of the west coast jazz singers, Sue Raney possessed a beautiful voice and sang in declarative, clarion tones. A professional singer before her teens, she could sing in any style but excelled in swing and ballads.

‘All By Myself’, her third Capitol album cut in 1963, is arranged by Ralph Carmichael in a hard-swinging big band style. The material is drawn from the canons of Alec Wilder, Billy Strayhorn, Cy Coleman and Cole Porter, among others..

Track Listing :
Some Of These Days; Trouble Is A Man; Don't Let The Sun Catch You Crying; I'm Gonna Laugh You Right Out Of My Life; Here's That Rainy Day; What Is This Thing Called Love?; All By Myself; No Place To Go; Just A Sittin' And A-Rockin'; How About Me; Maybe You'll Be There; Burnt Sugar.

Personnel :
Sue Raney (vocal); Ralph Carmichael Band.
